Hail Mary The Hail Mary is the most familiar of all the prayers used by Universal Church in honour of our Blessed Lady. Sometimes called the “Angelical Salutation.”

Hail Mary It commonly described as consisting of three parts, “Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee, blessed are you amongst women”, embodies the words used by the Angel Gabriel in saluting the Blessed Virgin. The second, “and Blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus”, is borrowed from Devinely inspired greeting of St. Elizabeth, which attaches itself the more naturally to the first part, because the words “Benedicta tu in mulieribus “ or “inter mulieres” are common to both salutations. Amen G lory Be The Glory Be prayer is most familiar from the Rosary where it is recited at the end of each decade of the Hail Mary. It goes back many centuries and is known also by its Latin name and version as the “Gloria Patri”. The tradition for the doxology comes from the Jewish synagogues. St. Paul often used doxologies similar to the Glory Be in his letters. G lory Be The Glory Be prayer reaffirms the eternal glory of our “God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity,” as our Triune God is called in the well known hymn “Holy Holy Holy”. Let us try each day, in reciting this prayer and others, to be open to God’s graces, so that we may live our lives as hymns of praises to Our Creator....
