STUDY OF THE PRODUCTION BEHAVIOR IN SHALE GAS DEPOSITS BY FRACTURING THROUGH SIMULATION ABSTRACT The research aimed to study the production behavior in a shale gas field, evaluating the techniques of hydraulic fracturing and explosives. In the first place, a description of the characteristics of a shale gas field was out, to then carry out the design of the well and the deposit (considering its mechanical, petrophysical and geochemical properties, as well as the damage to the formation between the conditions operational). The designed well was horizontal, with a thickness of 20ft, a flowing bottom pressure of 1103psi and a pore gradient of 0.862psi/ft. Also, the evaluation of hydraulic and explosive fracturing techniques was performed to finally estimate the behavior of the reservoir under study, through the most relevant parameters such as relative permeability for the post-fracturing model, the accumulated gas production, the water saturation of the well

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
