Grade-12 Accountancy, Business and Management ICT-ED Institute of Science and Technology Abstract In an organization, motivation was appear especially to the employees or staffs. Motivation as came from latin word means motus a form of the verb movere, which means to move, influence, affect, and excite. By motivation we then mean the degree to which a person is moved or aroused to act Rainey, (1998). Dictionaries simply describe motivation as “the goad to action” Mitchell, (1982), whereas scholars expand the term to the set of psychological processes that cause the arousal, direction, and persistence of individual’s behavior toward attaining a goal Robbins/Judge, (2008). And there are two types of motivation the Intrinsic motivation is when you do something because you enjoy it or find it interesting and extrinsic motivation , or doing something for external rewards or to avoid negative consequences. The aim of this research was to find out the impact of employees’ motivation in D’MAPS Manpower Agency, Rosario, Batangas. The study focused on defining the motivation concepts and methods and identifying the most motivating factors. In addition, suggestions to increase employee’ level of motivation and direction for further study were also discussed.To gain deeper understanding of the research topic, different motivation theory models were reviewed. However, the attention was on analyzing the two motivation theories, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg’s Two-Factor theory. INTRODUCTION Today in a world of competitive corporate environment, every company – regardless of scales and markets is striving to gain competitive advantage(s), to perform better and to achieve productivity and effectiveness. In order to do that, it is important for an organization to clearly define its objectives, and to know how to do it well with the use of available resources. However, mentioning an organization’s resources, it is the human resources that fill all the gaps between each step to success. Personnel are the one who use their competencies and knowledge to provide support to the company as the way of achieving goals. Organizations across the globe that consider their human resources as a central core of the business and continuously increase the level of their employees’ motivation and performance tend to be more effective (Adi, 2000, Anka, 1988, Rothberg 2005).
