Use your mass and volume data to determine the theoretical change in temperature for freezing your known sugar. a. Change in freezing point = (1.86Kf) (0.486m) (1) =0.905 degree Celsius 3. Use your data to determine the freezing temperature of DI water. Do this by averaging the freezing point temperatures you collected. a. (2.812 degree Celsius-2.012 degree Celsius) =0.8/2 = 0.4 degrees Celsius 4. Use your data to determine the actual ΔTfreezing for your known salt. Do this by first averaging the freezing point temperatures you collected, and then taking the difference between this average and the average freezing temperature of water. a. (-8.563 degree Celsius +-2.813 degree Celsius) = -11.376/2 = -5.69 degrees Celsius 5. Use your data to determine the actual ΔTfreezing for your known sugar. Do this the same way you did it for the known salt.
