Tanner Griffith Professor Blankenship Human Growth and Development 20 September 2019 Medicated Child Response The Medicated Child video showed me that putting kids on pills and different medications is wrong. I think that it is okay to have one or two medicines to put a child on, but once you get above that I believe it is a bit ridiculous. I believe that is messes the kids up even more. Also, in the video we see children dying from being put on certain medications, which is unacceptable to still give children after the death or even take the risk of having another child die. In the book the term Tertiary Prevention is talked about. Tertiary Prevention are the actions of medical treatment after a sickness or disability aimed to reduce the possibly of harm and disability. We see in the video however that the medications do not necessarily prevent harm or disability to the medicated child. Overall, I believe medicating a child is not right.
