Adriana Alonso KINE 2202-001 Introduction Reaction time (RT) is a measure of the time needed to initiate a response (Coker). Reaction time can be influenced by many things such as age and gender. In this lab the auditory (ART) and visual reaction times (VRT) were used as data to compare different reaction times for two separate responses. Auditory RT and visual RT are both stimulus that can be used to measure one’s reaction time. From the moment a response is initiated all the way to the completion of the response movement is what is known as Movement time (MT). I hypothesize that auditory RT will be faster than visual RT and that the movement time will be dependent of the reaction time. Methods The data for this procedure includes 112 participants. The participants were divided into sections depending on the class section each individual was in and within both sections, the room was then divided into two large groups and a counter balance designed protocol took place.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
