What i did for step one: Read The Doctor's Opinion, Bill's Story, There is a solution and More about Alcoholism, they all pertain to Step one. Look for Promises, Prayers, Directions and Warnings. Pick a story in the Big Book that you relate to the most. Write your own story, emphasizing on Powerlessness and unmanageability. and write out the last time you used/drank and how it felt like The Principle associated with Step one is: HONESTY Write out a Trigger List And solution to it Step 1 Reflection Questions After prayerful consideration, write out the answers to the following questions: 1) What is the biggest difficulty/problem in my life right now? The biggest difficulty in my life is my alcohol addiction. It has wrecked havoc on my mental and emotional health and my financial stability. This horrible disease has caused me to burn bridges with people and develop a very strained relationship with my mom.
