Daniel Washington Research Design Article Summary Three Work Cited Naquin, C., & Tynan, R., (2003). The Team Halo Effect: Why Teams Are Not Blamed for Their Failures. Journal of Applied Psychology , 332–340. doi: 10.1037/0021-9010.88.2.332 1. Why did they do the study? Study 1: The researchers wanted to examine participants’ attitudes about team performance based on their own personal recollections of being a member of a team that was either successful (good performance) or unsuccessful (bad performance). They then wanted to see if there was a relationship between the participants’ team knowledge and team experience and their likelihood to display the team halo effect in their attributions for team performance. Study 2: The researchers wanted to examine the participants’ attitudes about team performance through a long-term, labor management team negotiation task that required the participants to assume the role of either a senior personnel officer or a union official. The negotiation exercise, ABC/Local 190, involved three distinct rounds of negotiation and was conducted over a span of 10 weeks. (Valley & Medvec, 1996) 2. Who did they use for the study?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
