This is due by October 9th at 6pm. Part I: 1. Identify & describe job: Please identify a job that you would like to conduct an analysis of. You must have access to someone in this job (i.e. a parent, sibling, friend, etc..) because you will need to collect data from multiple sources within the organization. For example, when I conducted a job analysis for my graduate program I used a friend of mine who worked as a Probation Officer. He was able to give me access to one other coworker and his supervisor. Thus, I had three people (from different levels) to collect data from. Once you identify the job, write up a brief description of the job (see Attachment for example). You may use the organization's website, your SME, and O*Net to write this section. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION 1 Company Name: Schlesinger Group Job Title: Qualitative Assistant Job Overview: We are going to conduct our job analysis for Schlesinger Group - a marketing research firm that specializes in qualitative and quantitative data collections. We are a client service-oriented firm, so what we do is support studies for clients who come to our office and conduct group and one on one research studies on various topics, such as healthcare, finance, technology, business finance, and consumer marketing. Job Duties: Act as liaison between recruiting department and the research moderator Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain stock levels and cleanliness in focus groups suites throughout the day. Review sign ins, spreadsheets, screeners, top sheets, and tent cards to ensure the arrival of the correct respondents. Aids in the creation of a team atmosphere by helping other qualitative assistants Assists with answering the phones. Prints spreadsheets for clients. Serve food and beverages as ordered for clients. For the client arrivals - signs in the client, familiarize client with facility, verifies client needs and av preferences. For the respondent arrivals - signs in respondents, rescreens respondents, ensure correct paperwork is signed. For respondent departures - pay respondents via check, retains check for job folder. Audio / Video responsibilities - begin all necessary recordings at the start of each research session, confirms all recordings are working properly, reports equipment and recording issues to supervisor immediately.
