Taylor 1 Priosh Taylor Professor Van Bryce ENGL 1102 14 November 2019 Career Essay The Holland code was able to tell me about how I can use my personality and career work together. It really helped me see my personality and major could match together. The Holland code shown that I was; Social (a helper) and Enterprising (a persuader). So my future career based off the Holland codes show that I could be working with people in the future. The Myers Briggs Code that I got was ESTJ. Which meant that I a sort of practical person, which a realistic behavior. But sometimes I may be quick to make decisions. This Myers Brigg code didn’t really tell me anything new. Because I already knew this was my personality and how this would benefit me in my future career. When I do start working in a DA office after law school, I will definitely focus on getting result in the most efficient way, and also I will have a clear logical standard. I am an auditory learning sometimes, because I learn easier when something is being repeated. But I am also a kinesthetic learner because I’m on the step team and when I don’t get a step they have to repeat the step over and over again in order for me to get it. The best career for me based off of the result given were going into the law field or business field. The top 5 careers that I researched in relation to my assessment data were; Sales representative could be a good career for me because, “Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales” (Recruiting Resources 2019).
