First let me thank you for your vote of confidence by not only putting me at the helm of this data merger, but for the generous budget you awarded me to complete the task. There will be many changes in the next week, but it will take us to a level of security that our clients and Helios will feel more than comfortable operating with. First, we will discuss some physical changes, the networks being rebuilt, and the training that will be happening. Second, we will go over the reasons behind the changes. Finally, we will wrap up with where this points us and discuss the targeted endpoint of this plan. I operate on the concept its not if we get hacked, its when. We will have plans in place to make it harder to hack our network, and easier to recover from a hack. The first physical change that will be noticed is the replacement of the cubicles. The old ones were to short and shallow. They allowed agents to easily lean over and watch the other agents screen. These new cubicles make that impossible. We will also be going to a scanned ID card. To access areas of the building you will have to scan your ID. If you are not supposed to be there the door will not open. We have removed all the computers from all workstations minus administration. They have been replaced with dumb terminals. Agents have no need to access a computer, they will be connected directly to the server. This will prevent any chance of copying information to a device and will greatly reduce maintenance and back up time. We have replaced all the monitors in the building with diffused screen monitors. This will all but eliminate “shoulder surfing”. These monitors require you to be directly in front of them in order to see what is on the screen. This also gives us the opportunity we did not have previously.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
