Part A – Written Assessment 1. Are all relevant key legislations included in the DET policy? (Eg Gender Equality Act) I believed that almost relevant key legislation included in the DET policy. The reason is that the legislation exist is to protect minorities. They are serving to guarantee equal rights to the different one or to those that the society does not treat, as it should either by cultures or evens by preconception. The DET policy talks about many points such as woman for example; in some part they mention that the success of 2017 will be measured if they had 50% more representation in managerial positions. But they didn’t talk about a complicated subject as religion. Another subject that I can quote is the sexual orientation. The DET policy just mention that point when says that there are other elements of diversity and explicit not just this one but also others that have the same importance, like marital status. I believe that all key legislation is not included, but a lot of them are. 2. Identify where in the existing Policy the principles of diversity are evident. Diversity in the work environment means the organization's development of a mature attitude towards the plurality of our society. This means welcoming employees into their differences and supporting inclusiveness and tolerance of cultural multiplicity. The principles of diversity have become very evident in many aspects of politics. They clearly understand the need to ensure that everyone has the same rights to all positions, including prominent ones in the organization are filled with underrepresented, such as young people under the age of 25, women, minority group members, disabled persons, and any nationality. One of the goals is to ensure an environment that value and utilizes the individual contributions of each employee, enhancing awareness of the benefits of diversity in the workforce and successful management of diversity. By also creating a Workforce Diversity Plan, the Human Resource Development Plan and the Aboriginal Human Resource Strategic Plan provide a clear and efficient way for
