CHANGE MANAGEMENT 2 A Research Proposal for Ngai Tahu Tourism Business. Change management can be defined as a process that is used in obtaining approval for changes to the timeline, scope, or budget of a project. Professionals in the infrastructural field usually field change management as a process for testing, approving, and installing new equipment, the release of a new application, or a cloud instance. Many change management associations usually view change management from an organizational perspective. When change management is introduced; it reduces the risks that the enterprise systems get. Organizational change management neither reduces the cost nor increase sales. Internal and external environments are forces that drive changes in organizations. The internal issues have brought many changes in the organization. They usually refer to factors, events, people, structures, systems, and conditions that are generally within the organization. The internal issues influence the decisions, activities, behavior, and altitude of the employees. The external are factors that do not occur within the company, and they cause changes inside the organizations. They tend to occur beyond the control of the company. They can either be technology, the economy, customers, social and political conditions, market situation, governmental laws, and regulations that apply outside the organization. (Cummings, Bridgman, & Brown, 2016). In organizations, some people lead others when performing. Such people act as a catalyst for change in the organization. For instance, organizations may have various departments. Each department has a leader who is termed as the manager. The managers work hard to bring change within the organization. Catalysts for change usually have personal attributes necessary to motivate and inspire others to follow their lead.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT 3 Change management affects organizational performance in various ways. It usually emphasizes the need for strategies and plans that has to be formulated within the context. The development of organizational performance is attributed to personal achievement, knowledge, skills, and performance. Managers usually adopt practices that have varying levels of success.
