Edlinguist Notes: What is Edlinguist? Has a background in Applied Linguistics; exposure to many different languages; did two study abroad programs; wanted to be a Linguistics professor; a classroom is not where you will get the most learning; How do you really learn from real-life experiences? Started journaling about this question. Wanted to create an educational firm adjacent to the field of education. Experience dealing with high policy in school settings Learned a lot about the layers of bureaucracy in academic settings Did legislative work and worked with school districts in creating professional development learning that involved training and coaching Target market: executive leadership Will obtain certification as a business owner Keeping up with technology trends helps me keep up with client needs. Her vision is to help high school students find the right college for them and help college students find the right graduate program for them.
