Mackenzie Terwilliger Owens Univ 101 9/3/2019 Reflection #1 Why are you attending NIU? The second I stepped onto campus, I knew this was where I was supposed to go to college. It was the perfect fit for me and felt like home. The class sizes were just right. NIU felt like the land of opportunity, and something that I couldn’t miss out on. What are you aiming to accomplish this semester academically? What are you aiming to accomplish this semester personally /socially? Academically, I’m looking forward to get back into the swing of a homework routine. I went to a project-based charter school where all of my work was done during the day, and I didn’t have any homework to do when I went home at night. Personally and socially, I am ready to get involved with activities and clubs. I bowled from the ages of 11 to 18. I was on the swim team in 7th grade. I attended a school of 80 kids in grades 7-12, and had the same group of friends for 5 years, where none of them followed me to college. I’m in a new city/state, attending a new school where I don’t
