2 Hate Crime Analysis Hate Crime Analysis "In the 1980s the word "hate crime" was created by journalists and policy supporters who are trying to define a progression of occurrences during African-Americans, Jews, and Asians. The (FBI) Federal Bureau of Investigation describes bias crime also known as hate crime as “a criminal offense committed against a person, property, or society that is motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender's bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin" Office of Justice Programs 2017 (para. 1). Hate crime have been taken place for the longest time. Since hate crimes started African Americans have been victims of hate crime. The study will emphasize on this group of citizens of hate crime. In this paper, it will be discussed particular issues that will function on the foundation for victimization and case examples will also be provided. Benefit challenges and restorative justice models that are used for African-Americans. A current study tool, to calculate the discrimination against this group and the foundation of the choice is comprised. Lastly, it will be ascertained which criminological theories best illustrates the discrimination of African Americans and the basis of this selection. African Americans According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, in the United States in 2014, less than 800 hate groups were operating. When President Barack Obama was elected between the years 2008 and 2012, the numbers ascended higher, when it fell again from 888 to 1,007. In the United States Barack Obama was the first African-American that became president. However, before the presidency of Barack Obama African Americans have been victims of hate crimes. African
