or Cannabis indica plant. This plant contains a mind-altering chemical called THC and other similar compounds that makes Marijuana the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States. Its use is widespread among the younger generation of people. In 2015, more than 11 million young adults (ages 18-25 years old) used marijuana in the past year. According to the Monitoring the Future survey, rates of marijuana use among middle and high school students have dropped or leveled off in the past few years after several years of increase. However, the number of young people who believe regular marijuana use is risky is decreasing. (NIDA, 2018) Marijuana is legal in 11 of the 50 states in american and probably more to follow in this direction because of the non-negative effect it has done to those states that have already legalized it. Colorado and Washington were the first two states to legalize the recreational use of cannabis. Marijuana use has man positive aspects to it, It has helped reduce crime and reduce violence in some cities. THC helps relax the mind and Crime and violence are greatly increased due to illegal selling and buying of marijuana. If it is Legalized then it would logically end the need for such criminal behavior. Marijuana creates jobs, Legalizing and regulating marijuana will bring one of the nation's largest cash crops under the rule of law. This will create jobs and economic
