1 Running Head: Argumentative essay Describe the theory of endosymbiosis as proposed by Lynn Margulies; Endosymbiotic theory, states how eukaryotic cells originated. The eukaryotic cell organelles comprise of cell structures such as chloroplast and mitochondrion that exists in plants and animals respectively, the theory states how this cell organelles have evolved of a period of time and their importance to plants and animals. Mitochondria cell organelles that have been hypothesized to have originated from proteobacteria exist in all eukaryotic plants. Chloroplasts are considered to have evolved from cynaobacteria through the process of endosymbiosis. The theory also contains several variants in relation to how organisms evolved from the others and also the number of times that particular evolution took place. Describe what chloroplasts and mitochondria produce in eukaryotic cells (the specific chemical that is produced by electron transport systems in both cases), (3) provide three details from cell biology that support the theory.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
