1.07 Ethics For each of the 4 cases, explain why you would either approve or disapprove the proposed research experiments, evaluate each proposal based on the 4 main principles of ethical research provided in this lesson. Every research experiment must follow all 4 principles to be considered ethical 1. This case is unethical and if it were up to me, would be denied. Based on the end result of the experiment there is obviously no actual purpose of performing surgery on rats. Applying brain lesions to these rats will destroy the animal’s brains and basically turn them crippled (into vegetables). This lacks scientific purpose and the instructor already admitted that no new information will be found by completing this experiment which defeats the purpose of science 2. This case is definitely debatable, and although it is putting dogs in the shelter in the way for future scientific success and breakthrough, I would not approve of this case. There could be
