“Speech in the Convention” Benjamin Franklin 1. Write a summary of Franklin’s speech to confirm your understanding of the text. (This should be 3 sentences). - He is stating that the government is as good as it is going to get and we can’t change anything about it. Everyone has to learn to adapt to it. Everyone also has there own opinions and they can’t change how people view it. 2. Franklin addresses his remarks to “Mr. President” - George Washington, who led the proceedings. An example of the benefits of reporting our constituition and how our would be in our favour and among other foreign nations. 3.
