Introduction Every organization has a clear goal. An ultimate mark that they want to achieve. Any well- functioning company will find a way to realise its ultimate goal. But in order to do that, it will need a clear plan of what it needs to do, what contingencies and factors it needs to consider in order to reach those goals (Johnson et al., 2017). This planning and analysis of factors are called strategy. Thus, it can be safely said that strategy is the key to achieving an organisation’s ultimate purpose. Company Profile Tesla is a company that is well known for its electric sportscars. It started as an ambitious engineering project for a handful of Silicon Valley engineers. What started out as a project is now one of the best electric car manufacturers on the whole planet. With the leadership of Elon Musk, Tesla has been brought to new heights. Besides, Tesla now has a separate business that concerns itself with providing, businesses, homes and entire communities with power management and backs up power. 1 | P a g e

It has seen unprecedented success in only a few years of its inception. Both its automotive business and its power solution business are going well. However, every business organization, no matter how big or successful must exist in an environment larger than itself (Fernando, 2011). Here are some macro-environmental factors and how they influence Tesla’s strategy.
