Introduction Culture is an amalgamation of the values, unspoken rules, practices and rituals that determine how an organization goes about performing its functions. In a sense, culture is the identity of the organization. Human beings are social creatures. So when they are put in an enclosed environment where they have to spend a considerable amount of time (such as a workplace) they form cultures. These cultures can spell disaster or usher in success. This is why leadership needs to study their workplace culture, determine what’s good and what’s bad and then remodel the culture in a way that’s most beneficial to the company. How the company reacts is based on its culture. However, how the company reacts is also based on the overall environment that it operates in. All of this is why it is important to critically analyse the culture of an organization and define it in as much detail as possible (Turniansky and Hare, 2013). These above-mentioned facets and discussions are what this report is going to explore. Vodafone is a multinational telecommunications company based in the United Kingdoms. They have been ranked 4 th among global mobile operators. Vodafone has 313 million customers. It owns and operates networks in 25 countries. Vodafone displayed a market capitalization level of 52.5 billion in 2016. During 2017, Vodafone has lost customers and brand value due to pure working conditions and bad customer responsiveness (Kumar, 2012). They have now rejuvenated the company and its workplace culture. 3
