Research Assignment - 2a Annotated Bibliography (of 3 articles) (5%) Length -3.5-4 pages 12, Times New Roman, Double Spaced. Number of annotated articles for RA 2a – 3 In the first writing assignment, you selected a topic and briefly explained how you would go about researching it. Now the time has come for you to carefully examine how others have researched your topic . You will do this by constructing an annotated bibliography for SIX (6) PEER REVIEWED SCHOLARLY EMPIRICAL journal articles RELATED TO substantive or methodological issues pertinent to your topic . You will submit articles as 2 separate assignments (RA2a – 3 articles and RA2b – 3 articles) according to the schedule provided in the syllabus. For our purposes an "annotated bibliography" includes, first, the citation for the article (follow the ASA or APA style), and then a brief, but detailed, summary of the following issues: 1. QUESTION: The main research questions (what theory and/or specific hypotheses are guiding the research?) 2. DESIGN: The research design and type of data used by the researchers to empirically examine the topic (Do they conduct an experiment, a survey, field research, archival research, etc.? Specify what type of experiment, what type of survey, field research, etc. What are the units of analysis? Are the data cross-sectional or longitudinal? If longitudinal, what type of longitudinal design – trend study, panel study, or cohort study?) 3. CONCEPTS AND VARIABLES: What are they key concepts (conceptual variables) being studied

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
