It can be rash-like flakey conditions, redness, and inflammation. Atopic Dermatitis is type of Eczema. Atopic Dermatitis is an allergic skin reaction. Asthma and Hay fever has strong connections with Atopic Dermatitis. The common causes for allergic eczema include: o nickel, which can be found in jewelry, belt buckles, and metal buttons on jeans o perfumes found in cosmetics o clothing dyes o hair dye o latex o adhesives o soaps and cleaning products o poison ivy and other plants o antibiotic creams or ointments that are used on the skin, such as neomycin Diagnosis is through a patch test by placing patches that contain common allergens on your back
