Largest mainland colony. North Carolina - Interior getting taken by Scotch-Irish and German immigrants: quadrupled pop, making NC by 1770 the fourth largest and fastest growing colony South Carolina - Immigrants. 60 percent slaves. Planters were weary of growing power of blacks Georgia - Newest and smallest colony. Half enslaved. Founded in 1730s. Refuge for poor and indebted English. Barrier between Spain. Colonies were only joined through London Pg. 4: Meeting in Albany failed. Colonies were too focused on own interests. However came to agreement to help pay for defense Pg. 6: Parliament
