Joshua Muldoon, Johnny Bajko, Rohan Reddy, Ben Long Mr. Vandenberg Chem 215, 3rd Hour 2 June 2019 Blast Off Into Chemistry Over the course of our test launches, we tested the average times the rocket was in the air. Our variable was the type of wings on our rocket. We used four curved wings, four triangle wings, and no wings. We launched the rocket three times for each set of wings and calculated the average time for each set of data. We concluded that, despite having the lowest and highest times within the data set, the average time for curved wings was the greatest out of the other data sets. The average time for the curved wings was 3.38 seconds, while the average time for the triangle wings was 3.21, and the average time for no wings was 3.03 seconds. Despite only changing one variable, many possible sources of error were detected. Measurements were not used to create the rocket. Most parts, other than the wings, were unproportional and inaccurate to one another. The positioning of the wings wasn’t exact either.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
