One sun rose on us today, kindled over our shores (illuminate) Explanation: Changing kindled to illuminate allows the reader to have more of a vision with how the sun portrays on our faces. Kindle is like fire, and in this reality we live in, fire is not considered something people look up too. Illuminate is making the sun be subjected to something people should look forward too. After all, the sun is a big part of us being alive. 2. Jutting into a sky that yields to our resilience (projecting) Explanation: I honestly did not know what this meant and I want this poem to be able to reach audiences that can understand every word right off the bat. Also how powerful projecting is than jutting 3. Or the impossible vocabulary of sorrow that won’t explain (disappointment) Explanation: The few lines around this sentence talks about school in simplest terms and learning. For one to call vocab impossible shows that people should be disappointed instead of so called sad. Kids should look at words like learning opportunities, not
