Isis Battaglia 4/11 Child growth and development The dilemma If I were pregnant and went to get tested to see if my baby had a birth defect I have no idea what I would do. I think the only reasons why I would get tested would be so that I know ahead of time and can prepare for it. I don't think I could ever abort my baby but I could be in a situation where it might be difficult. I know in the back of my head that even if my baby had a birth defect I have many loving people in my family that would all be there to help me. Right now while I am 16 I might want to find out if my baby has a birth defect. If I were older and more prepared to have a child I dont think theres any need to find out because no matter what I would still keep my child.

Unformatted text preview: I'm not going to judge people for the decisions that they choose to make. I think everyone has different living situations and family problems. Some parents might need to just because it's what's best for the child. I really don't think that abortion is ever a good path to choose for your child. If anything, you could take care of the baby for 9 months and if you really can't take care of it then put it up for adoption. There are so many other options and if you were to keep the baby you could get a lot of help from other people. Just because a baby has a birth defect doesn't mean they don't deserve to live. I understand that it is hard for some people and I get that. Thoughtful reflection Isis. Thank you!...

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
