Madyson Woodburn Title : The Canterbury Tales Author: Geoffrey Chaucer Page That I Stopped: pp.125 In the Prologue of The Canterbury Tales, there are a wide variety of characters that are introduced by the narrator, Geoffrey Chaucer. All of the characters introduced gives a picture of what the society was like back in Medieval TImes. From reading the Prologue, I predict that the Knight and the Nun will end up being together when they reach their destination to Canterbury. First of all, the Knight represents a perfect and distinguished man. He inhabits all the assets of chivalry: honor, faith, sagacity, courtesy, temperance and much more. The Knight has been given much honor and glory by participating in 15 battles with no man to defeat him. By the valour given to the Knight by the people; it has made him a very humble and modest man. But the Knight seems to be missing something. There is a sense of loneliness that comes with being a dedicated and chivalrous man. He needs a partner that can support him at all times. I
