A FLEXIBLE EXPENSE ACCOUNT 2 A Flexible Expense Account I do not believe Clyde is acting morally when it comes to the raincoat purchase. Clyde should have packed accordingly as he knew he would be flying into Seattle, which is known well for all the rain. Not only did Clyde not pack responsibly, he then tried to push his actions off through the company by using his expense card. Spending $300.00 for a raincoat sounds a little over the top in my opinion. I think firing Clyde over his first offense is a little unethical, but he also tried to lie and submit the same expense report with false information. Firing Clyde because he committed fraud would set the pace for any future investments made by other employees. I think at the very least he should not be given access to the company credit card, but instead have everything pre-approved before he leaves for a meeting. Putting Clyde on some sort of probation may be required as well. Regardless if Clyde received a reimbursement or not, he should still be held responsible for his actions. If Clyde would have gotten away with this raincoat purchase, who knows what else he could try to sneak through the accounting department. A FLEXIBLE EXPENSE ACCOUNT 3 References Albanese, Jay. S.
