2 Prostitution: Simply a Business I agree with FiFi when she says it is not the government’s business who she involves herself with sexually. The problem with prostitution is it always becomes something bigger. I think the biggest issue with prostitution is the baggage that comes with it, the drugs, pimps, abuse etc. If prostitution did not cause a big stir within the drug and pimp communities, I do not think it would be unwarranted. If prostitution could be done in more of a professional manner, without the drugs, control and exposure, I think it has potential to be an extremely profitable service. I also agree with her when she points out that these acts are consensual. The prostitute knows what her job involves and the party paying for her service knows what they are asking for. In my opinion, we all know prostitution is bad because it is against the law, but that is the only reason. The prostitution services FiFi is explaining is moral to me, it’s the other stuff

Unformatted text preview: that FiFi is not talking about that is in my opinion, immoral. Bula’s perspective is what I imagine when I think prostitution. The girls get roped in, they think they can mentally handle the services they provide because the money is good, but in the end, they seem to end with more hurt. Unfortunately, many girls turn to drugs to cope with the pain they encounter day after day. Like many jobs, in the beginning you feel like you can handle anything but that sometimes fades. Bula says, “When I first did it, I felt a tremendous sense of power” (Albanese, 2016), but like that of course faded. I think what Bula is doing is extremely immoral. It sounds like she does not want to be a prostitute anymore, mentally and physically. It’s said to say that some prostitutes truly think this career path is their only option. 3 References Albanese, Jay. S. (2016). Professional Ethics in Criminal Justice. Pearson...

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
