It was a normal day. I was sitting at my desk at school working on a math paper and then all of the sudden the power went out. Now, this was a usual thing for my school so no one really thought much of it. We all texted our parents letting them know and telling them that we were okay and everything. They all responded saying that their power also went out. Weird . I took a look at social media and everyone even in different countries were saying that their power was out. Even weirder. Some kids left even though we were advised to stay at school. I stayed considering that if I went home, I would be alone which I wasn’t very fond of. I went back to texting my mom. She told me that she was on her way to pick me up and take me home because it wasn’t safe for me to drive, all the traffic lights were out. She finally got to my school after picking my sisters up from their school. She looked very on edge and panicked. She took us all home and as we were driving we went past a grocery store. Hundreds of people were rushing out with their carts filled with water and cans of
