Terrorists are not exactly all the monsters we perceive them to be, without looking at the damage they cause they are a part of the culture we live in. There are people who fight against monsters who eventually see they have taken up a way of living, acting, or representing themselves in a similar manner to the way of those who are fought against. The author goes into detail in providing examples and evidence to show how “monsters” actually help contribute to the safety of society and culture within it, but in general no one is a monster. The way the culture or religion is being perceived by other as monstrous, because they act differently. The term becomes a stereotype that could easily be used against the other, because of the differences in culture.
