Explain what this means including the terms cells, tissues, biosphere, atoms, and ecosystems. “ Living things are organized most nearly means that the world and living creatures have a structure to follow which is also known as the circle of life. This is that every species follows their place to keep the world moving . A cell is the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism. A tissue is a group of similar cells that perform a particular function. all the Earth’s ecosystems collectively make up the biosphere . atoms join together to form the molecules that make up a cell. The community of populations interacts with the physical environment to form an ecosystem.” (Mader, 2016) 2. Explain the concept of homeostasis and provide an example. The book defines homeostasis as “The ability of a cell or an organism to maintain an internal environment that operates under specific conditions” An example would be the digestive system taking in nutrients for living organisms to survive.
