Skyler Pittman Celeste Woo January 2019 Synthesis Paper A Utopian society is an imaginary place where everything is considered perfect in society. Many of the issues that are occurring today wouldn’t happen in Utopian society like the ones written by Sr. Thomas More, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Jonathan Swift. Utopias seem possible but may fail in society today because not everyone has the same viewpoint. Some may believe that women are only good for certain things like Cooking and Cleaning, while others may believe that women are meant to do more than domestic work. Also, on certain festive days, wives would fall down at their husbands’ feet, confessing that they have performed some domestic duty negligently or adultery. Adultery would be punished by the strictest form of slavery. This is unfair because if the husband were to commit
