I completed the Performance Appraisal Template based on a previous company that I worked for which was an IT services company. I focused my template around the following competencies: Customer Service, Reliability and Accountability, Technical Expertise, Problem Solving and using Sound Judgement. These are the core competencies that I believe comprise the skills and behaviors that an IT technician needs to be successful. Customer Service: Does the technician meet the customer’s needs? Does he or she maintains good customer services skills (does not interrupt, listens and keeps a positive tone) Reliability and Accountability: Does the technician complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner? Do they follow up on service calls and follow through on all commitments? Technical Expertise: Prioritizes work easily and manages multiple projects effectively. Can the technician plan their work to ensure that resources are available to complete projects on time? Keeps up to date on best practices.
