My thoughts on this is there will always be controversies regarding freedom of speech due the fact that people will abuse it by inciting hate and violence and mask it with what they call freedom of speech to carry out their own agendas. Freedom of speech has its limitations when it relates to libel , slander , obscenity , pornography , sedition , incitement , fighting words , classified information , copyright violation , trade secrets , food labeling , non-disclosure agreements , the right to privacy , the right to be forgotten , public security , and perjury . The issue with cases that use free speech as an umbrella for their opinion, when its evident that it is a form of incitement. It is not said explicitly but the context is implied, and people who are either ignorant to the topic or are just blind followers will hear this context over and over, resulting in brainwash. At

Unformatted text preview: some point a person who is brainwashed and has strong feelings for a certain matter with knowledge of nothing else, will encounter a person with an apposing view and here we hope this person will not act on their hate because of their views. Freedom of speech is a great privilege to have as it allows for people to share their opinions and see their side of the spectrum. As it it also shows what types of issues people are facing, with this knowledge these opinions could be addressed and clarified as a means of education for everyone. People will never meet eye to eye and there will always be some offense taken which is ok. The problem as I said arises when free speech is implicit incitement but there is no consequence....
