Homelessness in America 2 Homelessness in America Introduction The homelessness reality in today’s society is rapidly at a rise. Everywhere as in cities, parks, and streets there is likely to be homeless people that struggle to survive (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (U.S.), 2018). American country deserves to be a comfortable and secure place for living, not to be left into the streets. Today’s society those who are rich become richer and those poor become poorer. Many people become homeless because they get driven by money and work. Governments do not help the homeless population enough for their condition. Even though some homeless people have got their very own wishes of remaining on streets; other people are homeless wanting and needing help (Clapham, 2003). Many people become homeless because of losing everything such as their jobs, homes, and even many times, their family. The term homelessness refers to a situation where a person finds himself in a condition where they are unable to pay for the safest home to live. It is also when a family cannot together live in one home at the very same time. The issue of homelessness in the American country affects a lot of individuals regardless of the ethnical background. The Homelessness State in the America Executive (The National Alliance to End Homelessness, 2015) defines homelessness as people who sleep outside and sleep in assistance programs for the homeless. In America homelessness is on the high all-time because there is lack of enough programs of assistance. Federal Government, targets federal funds to take care of homelessness as it is at a higher level in the history: the $4.5 billion into the 2015 fiscal year may be devoted towards various programs for the homelessness. In some Homelessness trends in America there have been an improvement for the good, but lots of work should be done (Bringle, 2011).
