Adopting parents are usually not the biological parents. In this regard, the rights of children and parents are in question. Adoptions can either be domestic or international. This paper is critical since it addresses issues on why adoption and parenting is a global issue, LGBT concerning adoption and the rights of a parent after adoption. Adoption and Parental Rights as a Global Issue Adoption and parental rights have become a global issue since it is based on fundamental human rights. As it takes the global nature, in the sense of global adoption, UNICEF raises its concerns and restrictions in an attempt to protect children rights. UNICEF advocates for every child to be taken care of by his/her biological parents(Elizabeth et al., 800). Furthermore, they consider returning children to their parents in the case of conflicts
