2 Clinical Systems to Improve Outcomes After many years of research and analysis, the effects of digital medical technology have become more apparent in all the papers reviewed. Examples such as population health monitoring, infection prevention, quality and continuity of care, and patient self-efficacy stand out above the crowd. These reports concentrated on the experience and experiences of physicians, staff and the general organization. These five peer-reviewed articles concentrated on the advantages and efficiencies of electronic health record systems, but each elaborated further on specific aspects and topics related to healthcare programs. Dowding et al. (2015) article is carried out from the viewpoint of the nurse and how electronic health record services help to reduce their workload, mistake and overall job satisfaction. The article by Downes et al. (2019) mainly focused on electronic health recording systems and accessible documents for patients. The article from “Patient Portal Considerations” explores many facets of the use of patient portals to manage chronic patient’s conditions. The peer-reviewed article on “Using Health Confidence to Improve Patient Outcomes” is a study regarding the positive effects of health confidence in patient outcomes. The last article by Kuo and Dang (2016) is to evaluate the clinical evidence promoting the use of secure EHR communication for diabetes self- management. Synthesis of Peer-Reviewed Articles Dowding et al. (2015) the report claimed that the use of electronic health record systems is of enormous benefit. This alone will help to make patient health data sharing more effective and easier through organizations and other professions. It was also found that it was faster and less time-consuming to identify and locate patient files and patient records by using and improving appropriate technology that could preserve patient data.
