The most recent example is in the results of the past 2016 election. The Electoral College should reflect the desires of the people, however, despite the popular vote being so high, it appeared as if the popular vote didn’t matter. If history continues to repeat itself will popular vote be anything more than just a dream for this nation’s citizens? Thisbeckoning the question, should citizens continue to vote? Does their vote even matter?
