Unfortunately, conflict is just a part of life. Everyone has conflicts in life and in all aspects of life during different time periods. Conflict is unavoidable. No one escapes conflict. Even the people who have the strongest relationships with God still come in contact with some form of conflict. Global workers will encounter conflicts with coworkers and people that have formed relationships with on a day-to-day life. There are several relationships that a global worker has where opportunities to serve and challenges will arise: family, team, sending community, mission organizer/employer, and national partners. There is a healthy and godly way to approach these relationships and the conflicts that may arise within their boundaries. There is a lot about how we respond in these situations. In my family, there are many opportunities to serve. I am a single twenty-three-year-old who lives with her dad and brother. My parents divorced when I was seventeen, so I basically took on the role she had. I clean, cook, and help my little brother. It is something I took on unintentionally at first. It was just a gradual and quite natural thing. I like to care for my dad and my younger brother. Helping them do things they often slack in. My brother is quite forgetful, so sometimes I drop what I am doing to take him something he forgot like his textbooks or binder or that important essay he was supposed to turn into his professor. I do the laundry, and put it away. It can be hard and it was not until this last year that I realized there is a healthy balance for all of that. I was holding resentment towards my parents for this, but ultimately it was my choice.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
