What happened to the Lusitania on her last day at sea off of the coast of Ireland? 2000 passengers boarded the USS Luistnania 1915. The ship sunk 2. How did the generation of young men that were to fight WWI feel about the war in the summer of 1914? How long did everyone think the war would last or when it would be over? No one expected the war to be this impacting and long they thought it would end by Christmas. During the summer they were happy and ready to fight. 3. How many men did France lose by the end of the first year of the war? What did Germany call the thousands of casualties that were killed within the first weeks of the war? French lost a million ment the first year and the Germany called the thousands of casualities the massacare of the innocent. 4. What was America's stance at the beginning of WWI? Why did American's not worry about the war? They were neutral in the beginning of the war and America didn’t worry about the war because they were neutral and had no reason to worry 5. What color did the mass produced Model T come in and how much did it cost?
