Running header: CHANGE MODEL Introduction Change can be a tough thing at times for some business to do, but in time all companies must go through. It is essential to change and try out different ways to improve business over the years. Some of the significant challenges include employee resistance and old strategies that have not worked in years. When things are not working, or profits are decreasing over the years. Failure to adapt to new strategies can result in some business losing profits or even going out of business. It is vital for the right change models for a short-term change and long-term change to have a successful transition in the business organization. Sea Treasure is a small group of well-known retail stores that specialize in the selling of exotic sea life and high-end accessories for aquariums. The company has been in business for over 50 years. Sea treasure has begun to face a few challenges in the last few years, which has hurt sell and profits for the company. Changes need to improve these challenges that face Sea Treasure's future and beyond. "After identifying why change is needed within an organization, the question turns to what, who, and what type of change is needed?" (Weiss 2016). For a short- term model change, Ackerman and Anderson's change model, in its simplest form, would be the best fit in this situation. The model consists of three types of change to identify development change, transitional change, transformational change. The long- term change is Cummings and
