SURNAME2 Always be my maybe is an American comedy film of 2019 that was written by Ali Wong, Michael Golamco, and Randal park and was directed by Nahnatchka Khan. The movie stars park and Wong as childhood friends who unite after over a decade in a sexual encounter. After a certain death of Marcus' mom, who happened to be more of a mother to Sasha, their relationship gets dissolved. The decade relationship gets dissolved within a minute after Sasha storms out and erases any instinct for her to be grieving. Some years later, Sasha becomes a celebrity chef in New York while Marcus stayed in SanFrancisco to live and work with his father. They reunite unexpectedly, and this causes their frostiness to melt quickly, and they return to their old ways. The story is well crafted and gives out the concept of love in a very humorous way that everybody can understand. The film shows love as well as emotions through the Asian American lens. According to the movie, true love is portrayed all over the movie. Many incidences show us the theme of true love. Looking at true love in the movie, we find that true love has no place in oblivion. As it is portrayed in the movie, true love exists in a circle. There exists no endpoint to love, and it does never end; it just comes back around in one way. When Marcus and Sasha met at San Fransisco and saw each other, they managed to look at one another eye to eye though it was not very romantic. This means that they still had feelings for one another. The fact that Sasha and Marcus actually meet and face one another and have a few exchanges means that they will definitely find love even after having a brutal and awkward breakup. According to the movie, home is a feeling and not just a place; it is seen when Sasha created a home for Judy’s recipes through her new restaurant. The restaurant portrayed her good relationship with Judy. Sasha established the meaning out of it and established the restaurant in a place where she could easily share the love
