He is faced with a lot of antagonists, one of them being the evil Queen of the North. To accomplish her motives, the Queen of the North sends her sons southwards to Camelot. There is a mage by the name Mellinnus, who breaks the conspiracy of the plan to assassinate King Arthur. The people are also stuck in a cloud of confusion about the legitimacy of King Arthur as the newly crowned king since he is born to a family far from royalty. As a strategy to block the Queen of the North from snatching the throne, Merlinnus helped by his aide Gawan craft a sword stuck on a rock, and it scribbled that only the rightful king will pull the sword out of the stone.
