Unformatted text preview: 2. What is the chemical reaction that lactase catalyzes? Lactase undergoes a chemical reaction to catalyze lactose, which produces glucose. 3. Explain how the structure of an enzyme relates to how well the function catalyzes chemical reactions. Enzymes bind with chemical reactions that are called substrates. Depending on the chemical reaction, there could be more than one substrate for each type of enzyme. The enzymes active site then binds with the substrate. Part 1 NCHS BiologyBiochemistry Lactose Concentration Set the initial concentration of Lactose to 10 mM and leave the other variables on their default settings and then run the trial. Repeat this process another 8 times but increase the concentration another 10 mM each time. Switch to the Mean of Samples Graph. Copy the graph to include in your lab report. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
