Askew Corporation To: Professor Askew Subject: Job Site Evaluation Date: February 1, 2018 The purpose of this memo is to evaluate the required references of writing and communicating skills, professional attitudes and work habits based on findings from job sites. The goal is to get familiar will the skills employers are looking for in careers within our academic major. Summary This activity has educated each group member by providing useful information about what employers are looking for in candidates. These findings were based on each member’s. professional field such as Biology, Chemistry, Nursing and Information Technology. Discussion Biology For the major of Biology, one of the jobs that I picked for this specific field was a Biological Technician. I found a few jobs such as a Service Technician at Tri County Hearth and Patio, Virology Lab Technician Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and Medical Lab Technician at American Health Associates Based on my findings from Monster.com the only job that fit the requirements was the Service Technician. As an Service Technician at Tri County Hearth and Patio it is required that you have both basic Mathematics and English skills. You should exhibit professional appearance at all times and master the skill of having great hospitality. Chemistry Chemistry being my major, I searched ads of my occupation symbolism via indeed. I found three jobs ads which are clinical pharmacist, ambulatory care pharmacist, and pharmacist. But only one met the requirement which is: clinical pharmacist, UnitedHealth group. In order to be considered for this position employees need to have Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, Ability to effectively communicate and directly interface with a diverse customer base.
