Ifeoluwa Kayode English 10 honors Lowe 12/2/2018 Corruption “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely”-Lord Acton. Bad use of power leads to corruption, and corruption leads to destruction. Bad uses of power are used for personal gain without considering the feelings of others around. Corruption begins when leaders delude themselves that their working for the greater good, but engage in behavior that's morally wrong. Their sense of power causes them to engage in exception making, or having wrong behavior simply because they can,making them more egocentric(Source B). Leaders like this are never accountable for their actions, and almost always do whatever they want. They feel as if they got their power and authority by themselves, and don't realise that as power is earned, and or

Ultimately, based on the leaders personality, power corrupts, and loses respect, and induces bad actions. Leaders don't realise their power isn't earned by themselves and do whatever they want, causing their mind to be corrupt and having their power taken away, leaving them powerless in the end....
