Types of Health Services Evaluation Evaluation of Health Programs – evaluation of programs created to reduce or eliminate a health problem or achieve a specific objective (ex. Healthy People 2010/2020) Evaluation of Health Care Systems – evaluation designed to produce knowledge about the performance of the health care system (ex. evaluation of Massachusetts Health Plan) Evaluation of Health Services – evaluation that examines the cost-effectiveness of specific health services provided to patients in the system (ex. cost-effectiveness of new medical technology)
